The Canadian Association for Food Studies (CAFS) held its annual conference at Wilfrid Laurier University May 26-28 as part of Congress 2012.

One of the conference participants, Hannah Renglich, writes a very interesting blog called the PeaceMeal Project, and she wrote some great summaries of her CAFS experience.  She took many photos of the field trips she went on, including one to the St Jacobs Farmers' Market, and one to Wolfgang Pfenning's farm in St Agatha.

The Waterloo Region Food System Roundtable has a special connection to CAFS: current Co-Chair Ellen Desjardins is the new editor of CAFS' journal, and former Co-Chair Steffanie Scott is the new President of CAFS!
