Food Bytes Digital Storytelling Event

February 18 12:00 AM
At Misty Mountain Coffee Company, 33 Queen Street South, Kitchener, ON N2G 1V8

Food is much more than what is on your plate.

Whether it be friends gathered around the dinner table, a neighbourhood working together to build a community garden or visiting the Foodbank to make sure your kids have enough to eat, food is at the very heart of where we live. It can either build our community or widen the gap between those who have and those who have not.

Latitudes and Longitudes Digital Storytelling Project wants to hear your stories about how local food has transformed you, your family, your friends ... your community. We are holding two short Saturday morning workshops – February 18 and 25, 9 to 11:30 am to help people tell their Food Byte.

Storytellers will use our Apple iPod mobile storytelling lab to transform their pictures and voice into short video narrative to share with friends and family. We hope you will also feel compelled to share your story with the community and the world through our website – LatitudesLongitudes.org.

Program fee: $10 Enrollment limited to 6 tellers per session. To reserve your spot send an email to workshops@latitudeslongitudes.org or register on our website at: http://latitudeslongitudes.org/digital-storytelling-workshop-registration/ Funded by the Region of Waterloo Arts Fund.
