CURRENT ACTIVITIES Member, Toronto Food Policy Council Founding Board Member, Ontario Farmland Trust Founding Board Member, Local Food Plus Founding Steering Committee, Sustain Ontario—Alliance for Healthy Food and Farming Healthy Lands Advisory Committee, Metcalf Foundation. Advisory Committee, Friends of the Greenbelt Foundation PAST ACTIVITIES 2006 to 2008 - Executive Director for the Greater Toronto Area Agricultural Action Committee, a distinctive partnership involving four GTA Federations of Agriculture and the Regional Municipalities of Halton, Peel, York and Durham, plus the City of Toronto, Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing, Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs, Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada, Toronto Food Policy Council and the food sector. 1998 to 2006 - wrote Corner Post, a weekly farm, food and countryside commentary heard on Southwestern Ontario radio stations and widely distributed on the Internet. 1971 to 2006 - Strategic Policy Advisor of the Christian Farmers Federation of Ontario and its 4,300 member family farm entrepreneurs. During that period helped found the Ontario Farm Environmental Coalition and the Ontario Rural Council. March, 1986 - honourary life membership in the Ontario Institute of Agrologists “in recognition of leadership, contribution and Christian commitment to agriculture and of his service to his community”. PRIMARY HOBBY - refurbishing an 1847 home built from local limestone.

Current Projects
Agent for pork producers appealing the Pork Decision of the Ontario Farm Products Marketing Commission. That decision stripped the Ontario Pork Producers’ Marketing Board of its universal mandatory marketing powers. A hearing is scheduled for three weeks starting November 25, 2009.
