Ignatius Farm CSA, near Guelph, is seeking novice and senior interns to join us for the 2012 growing season. Canadian Organic Growers (Perth-Waterloo-Wellington chapter) is looking for some new (and old) volunteers to help shape the local organic food and farming movement. Fertile Ground CSA Apprenticeship - intern needed to work now until October ideally, but shorter season applicants may also be considered. Room & board + monthly stipend of $300 (higher stipend available for someone with a full season's farming experience). Interns live in town .and commute the 15km to the farm every working day. Volunteer Treasurer for COG - Perth Waterloo Wellington - looking for someone with a financial and fundraising background to review financial reports prepared by our bookkeeper, and support the writing of funding proposals. The time commitment is 4 hours bi-monthly (steering committee meetings), as well as 4-5 hours per month to help with funding proposals. Mennonite Economic Development Association (MEDA) Agriculture Project Manager - responsibility for managing development projects and partnerships related to market linkages and value chain development. Specific duties will include providing technical support to projects and partners, overseeing project implementation, preparing and monitoring work plans and budgets, preparing financial and narrative reports and managing effective donor, client and partner relationships.
